How to Send a Parcel with TA-Q-BIN

TA-Q-BIN provides next day (or two day) shipping services for residents in Japan to anywhere in the country (excludes some areas).
TA-Q-BIN can be used in 5 simple steps.

Check if parcel can be sent

TA-Q-BIN can be used for parcels with a maximum linear dimension (length + width + height) of 200cm and a maximum weight of 30kg.
Even when parcels meet the criteria, some parcels cannot be sent due to the parcel size (length), value of parcel content, parcel packaging, inclusion of dangerous and prohibited items, etc.

Please also note that aerosol cans, liquids (such as perfumes), lighters and lithium batteries (such as mobile batteries) cannot be sent on routes which use aircraft.

Check services and rates

TA-Q-BIN offers a variety of services depending on parcel size, delivery destination, etc. In addition to regular parcels, it is also possible to send chilled and frozen parcels, as well as heavy parcels to airports, hotels, golf courses and ski resorts.

Rates and delivery times are set depending on the service, parcel size and delivery destination, and can be calculated easily.

Pack parcels

To ensure the safety of parcels, please use appropriate packing materials based on the parcel characteristics, weight, volume, etc. Please check the parcel before sending.

Yamato Transport offers a variety of convenient packing materials (such as boxes for computers). Please use these packing materials as necessary.

* Special packing materials are required when using TA-Q-BIN Compact, or when sending golf or ski equipment.

Create a waybill

Waybills required for sending parcels can be obtained at Yamato Transport Sales Office, convenience stores or TA-Q-BIN Agencies (some locations excluded). Please note that different waybills are required depending on the service, shipping method, etc.
Waybills can be written in English. Please refer to "Preparing Waybills" for information on how to fill out waybills in English.

When creating a waybill, the delivery date and time zone can also be specified for no additional fee.

Sending a parcel

When shipping with TA-Q-BIN, you can have parcels picked up at your home or you can drop off parcels at Yamato Transport Sales Office, convenience stores or other TA-Q-BIN Agencies.
A 100 JPY discount per parcel is applied to parcels which are dropped off.
* Depending on the parcel contents and size, some parcels cannot be dropped off at TA-Q-BIN Agencies.

Check the destination country

International TA-Q-BIN provides door-to-door shipping to more than 200 countries and regions throughout the world. However, when either the sender or intended recipient is a private individual, there are countries that only documents can be sent.

When sending items other than documents, please check shipping is possible to the desired destination country.

Check if parcel can be sent

Compared to sending parcels domestically, there are more items that cannot be sent overseas. If prohibited items are included, the parcel will be returned or disposed of.
Please also note that International TA-Q-BIN cannot be used for personal belongings (parcels shipped separately).

Please be sure to check information on prohibited items in each country.

Check services and rates

Rates for International TA-Q-BIN differ depending on the destination country and parcel size.
Rates can be calculated by specifying the destination country.

Find out information on fees

Customs inspections are performed when parcels arrive at their destination country. Customs fees may be incurred depending on the type of parcel, quantity and declared value.
Please note that basically the intended recipient (Consignee) is reponsible for paying the fee.

Customs and other related fees are determined by customs and related organizations in the destination country. Please note that the sender (you) or the intended recipient are responsible for paying any customs fees.
When using cash on delivery for customs fees, we recommend contacting the intended recipient in advance.

Customs differ depending on the country and the item being sent.

Pack parcels

Although no special packing materials are required, we recommend using appropriate packing to ensure safe shipping of parcels. Items which use fragile external packing (plastic bags, kraft paper, etc.) may be returned.
Yamato Transport also offers convenient packing materials based on many years of delivery experience. Please use these packing materials as necessary.
Also, problems may arise if the invoice details and the parcel contents do not match. Therefore, please fill out the invoice while packing.

Create a waybill

A Sales Driver will bring the waybill for International TA-Q-BIN at the time of pickup. Waybills are also available at Yamato Transport Sales Office.
In addition to waybills with attached invoices, there are also waybills without invoices (when sending paper documents or when creating separate invoices).

Sending a parcel

When shipping with International TA-Q-BIN, you can have parcels picked up at your home or you can drop off parcels at Yamato Transport Sales Office. Please pay shipping fees.
Fees are not prepaid, therefor must be paid at the tine of sending.
Delivery may be delayed or be impossible due to the parcel packaging, customs, weather or other factors. Additionally, delivery times may differ due to customs inspections, etc.
To request pickup, please contact International TA-Q-BIN Service Center (0120-5931-69, 9:00 to 20:00). Staff will provide information on the necessary procedures.
