The frontline of our delivery services is facing conditions of unprecedented difficulty, and the labor shortage throughout the country has made it challenging to ensure a stable workforce.
In addition, we have seen significant changes in the social structure, including the enterprise tax hike and the expansion of social insurance coverage. In response to these environmental changes, we will amend TA-Q-BIN rates entirely for the first time in 27 years to maintain and develop our TA-Q-BIN network and protect a sound work environment of our employees who provide these services.
We deeply apologize for the burden that these changes will place on many customers. At the same time, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

1. Amendment of basic TA-Q-BIN rates and service standards

Amendment of basic TA-Q-BIN rates

Starting from October 1, 2017, the following amounts will be added to the current basic TA-Q-BIN rates (excluding tax) in accordance with parcel size.

  • *We have amended the rates for delivery to Shikoku and Okinawa because the transport environment and methods in these regions have changed from the past.
  • *We will not amend rates for TA-Q-BIN COMPACT. However, region-specific rates for Shikoku and Okinawa for TA-Q-BIN COMPACT were amended in the same way as rates for TA-Q-BIN.

Amendment of service standards

On October 1, 2017, at the same time as the amendment of the basic TA-Q-BIN rates, we will also revise the maximum sizes to which the rates apply. The changes are shown in the table below. We will amend the sizes in response to the increasing size of leisure goods.

Additional fees for value-added services

2. Modification of Time Zones available for Time Zone Delivery (From June 19, 2017)

3. Earlier deadline for requests for same-day redelivery (From April 24, 2017)

On April 24, 2017, the deadline for requests for same-day redelivery has been changed to one hour earlier.

4. New discounts and services that make TA-Q-BIN an economical choice

In addition to the Drop-off Discount and Kuroneko Members Discounts that we provide, we will prepare new discount systems and services for personal customers who help us with improving the efficiency of pickup and delivery when sending and receiving parcels.

Discounts

  • Digital Discount

    We will offer a 50 JPY discount per parcel for which the waybill is issued using the ‘NEKO-PIT’ tablet at our sales offices.

  • Discount for Kuroneko Members who drop off their parcels at our delivery centers

    We will offer an additional 50 JPY discount per parcel to Kuroneko Members who drop off their parcels at our delivery centers. (Combined with the existing Drop-off Discount, a total of 150 JPY will be discounted per parcel.)

New services

  • Direct delivery service to TA-Q-BIN delivery centers (Tentative name)

    We will commence a money-saving service of offering a discount of 50 JPY per parcel for customers who select our TA-Q-BIN delivery centers, instead of their home address, as the destination.

  • ※1 : Kuroneko Members Discounts

    This is a highly economical service for customers who use Kuroneko Members E-money cards for sending parcels with TA-Q-BIN. If the card contains a specified amount of electronic money, the Kuroneko Members Discount will be applied to the TA-Q-BIN rate. This service offers the following two discount rates depending on the amount of electronic money on the card.

    • Kuroneko Members Discount:A 10% discount is applied to the TA-Q-BIN rate when a Kuroneko Members’ E-money card contains 5,000 JPY minimum.
    • Kuroneko Members Discount BIG:A 15% discount is applied to the TA-Q-BIN rate when a Kuroneko Members’ E-money card contains 50,000 JPY minimum.
  • ※2 : Drop-off Discount

    A 100 JPY discount is applied per parcel when a customer drops off their parcel(s) to our TA-Q-BIN delivery center, a TA-Q-BIN agency or a convenience store.

5. Join Kuroneko Members to enjoy TA-Q-BIN services more conveniently.

Joining Kuroneko Members makes TA-Q-BIN not only more economical, but also more convenient for you. The following are some of the services for Kuroneko Members.

Services for recipients

  • Notification services (Delivery notification e-mail and absence notification e-mail)

    We notify you of the scheduled time and date of delivery in advance by e-mail. We also let you know by e-mail that our sales driver visited you during your absence.
    *You can also receive the same notifications on LINE by linking your LINE account to the official Yamato Transport LINE account.

  • Changing the time, date, and/or place to receive a parcel

    The time and date of delivery for a parcel can be changed through the delivery notification e-mail and absence notification e-mail. You can also change the destination for receiving the parcel to our sales offices, convenience stores, delivery lockers (apartments) or an open locker (installed in stations, stores and our sales offices).

  • My Calendar service

    This service allows you to set times and days of the week that are convenient for you (when you can receive a parcel) in advance. Parcels will be delivered according to the set time and day and no additional request for a change is necessary.

Service for senders

  • Issuing waybill

    You can manage your address book on the Kuroneko Members’ website. Waybills containing the registered information can be issued using the ‘NEKO-PIT’ tablet at our sales offices, which saves you the trouble of having to fill it in by hand. In addition, as the information contained in the waybill is digitalized, the recipient will also receive the delivery notification if he or she is also a Kuroneko Member.
